For years and years we have left the t shirt and hoodie designs to you all to create yourselves on our online designer – and we have seen some fantastic designs just slipping through our presses…..but you often asked for our own t shirt designs that we can print for you.
So here we go…..
We now have some t shirt designs online for you , they are just for starters…..BUT…. as always we like to see what YOU can create and so all our PRE DESIGNED T SHIRTS can be bought as they are or YOU can add your own text to them, front and back – you can even add your own design to the other side!!

Our new unit used to be an oil depot – so you can imagine the state it was in when we took it over. But we could see behind the dust and the grime and we have started working hard to clear out the mess and start making a fantastic warehouse to produce your mugs and t shirts etc. A BIG thank you to Ste, Claire and Dan for all there hardwork……a bit more painting to go though!

Sadly Monday the 3rd May 2010 will be the 3rd year anniversary of Madeleine McCann being abducted in Praia da Luz, Portugal. 3 years on the campaign to find her is still going strong and will not stop until the safe return of Maddie to her family and that her abductors, as well as those who played or play any part in assisting them, are identified and brought to justice.
YOURDESIGN has been printing awareness t-shirts for the campaign since it began in 2007, and this year the Madeleine Campaign have changed the design on the shirts, the shirts can be found for sale at www.findmadeleine.com
We urge people to keep the campaign going in any way that they can and support the McCann’s in ending the nightmare they are trapped in and bringing Madeleine home safe and well.
Here are a few pics of the new place of work, it needs a lot doing first, the offices are all being painted and new carpets put down, the warehouse part is having a heating system installed. The trade counter part which there are no photos also needs sorting!!
Yourdesign is packing it’s bags and moving to larger premises, we are staying on the same industrial estate so not too far, the new building is 4000 sq feet + offices, it will give us the space to offer a “buy and collect ” service as well as offering local customers the chance to come in see the products we offer, there will be a main Yourdesign sign displayed on the side of the building, and a small notice board near the entrance explain what we have on offer.
The new building will open up our range of t-shirts, offering different colours and styles, which would not of been possible in our current unit, as we are filled to the rafters already!!
The Job Centre Plus wants to do an article on Yourdesign to go in there magazines and training literature, explaing how they helped us at Christmas time to recruit some Christmas staff. They want to produce a “Good News Story” explaining how we over the past have struggerling to get the right staff for the job, we must say they did do an excellent job.
Advertising for vacancys
In the past we had always advertised in newspapers for our staff until we were contacted by Michelle from the Job Centre she explained the benefits from working with them and thought they had the right applicants for the rolls we wanted to fill, so we arranged for a day of interviews to be held were all the candidates were asked to attend and we could have a chat with them, the Job Centre even supplied us with our lunch!! after the day we decided on who we thought would be best suited for the rolls and asked them to start. We will be recruiting again and we will be trying our luck with the Job Centre again!
Haley Newton is one of the contes ants appearing on BBC “So You Think You Can Dance” her family and friends will be wearing our t-shirts printed in Rhinestones to support Hayley, we will all be voting for Hayley and keeping our fingers crossed.
A ‘girly girl’ whose perfect evening is a night in with a box set of “24″.
Hayley trained at Italia Conti, even though her parents, who were both performers themselves, were keen for her to pursue a more stable career. It was only when she persuaded them to let her audition for the West End production of the Goodbye Girl and got the job that she was allowed to attend Italia Conti and began to train properly.
Since then, her work has included being assistant choreographer for Take That’s stadium tour, appearing in Chicago, Moving Out, Contact, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, five Royal Variety Performances and playing Tally in Granada’s youth drama “24 Seven”. She is excited about being in SYTYCD because it will be the biggest challenge of her career so far.
This is a picture taken of our local church on Tuesday, the North West was hit with snow on Tuesday morning which continued to fall all day, and has left us with problems with our next day courier service, our driver Steve has not been able to get to us to pick up, also with the snow moving south today, other depots are being effected stopping parcels from being delivered, we are hoping for normal collections on Thursday for deliverys on the Friday, but according to our couriers Interlink, not all areas of the UK will be covered, and there may be delays in the parcels arriving on time.
We have just finished producing mugs for the ITV hit programme X Factor, we were also asked to produce the mugs for the judges, so from time to time they can be seen drinking from them from behind the panel, each mug had their face on one side and the X Factor on the reverse, we have also produced similar mugs for the Xtra Factor programme. We reckon Olly is going to be the winner this year!!
Petplan have launched their mini site www.petraitgallery.co.uk which they hope breaks a record for the largest gallery of pets ever! They hope to get more than 138,000 images………
Visitors to the site can upload pictures of their pets and view them on the online gallery, they can also rate other pictures they see on the site - each visitor who uploads their image is given a unique number in the quest to break the record!
They also wanted to offer a service so the record breakers that uploaded their images could buy personalised gifts with their pets printed on them, this is where Yourdesign came in. They used our API on their site to do this which simply opens up a window within their site, gives the visitor access to a design online service, completes the transaction and they are sent back to the Petraitgallery! All the uploading of the images and rending onto the products is done on the Yourdesign servers.
They customized the API so it would fit within their site, matching colours and feel to their own website.
So why not upload your own pictures of your pets and help contribute to the website? It’s fun and easy to do and you can also rate other pictures on the website!
We are now printing our t-shirts using, Direct to garment printing, also known as DTG printing, digital garment printing and inkjet to garment printing, is a process of printing on textiles and garments using specialized or modified inkjet technology. The two key requirements of a DTG printer are a transport mechanism for the garment and specialty inks (inkjet textile inks) that are applied to the textile directly and are absorbed by the fibers.
Durability
DTG printing can be very durable if properly cared for. Normally, washing instructions state “Wash inside-out in cold water.” Even without proper care, printed designs can remain discernible after many washes. Direct to garment printing can be as durable as screen printing.
Eco-friendly printing
Direct to garment printing has become popular because it is almost 100% eco-friendly.While screen printing and other methods often use synthetic plastisol-based inks, DTG printers use environmentally-friendly, water-based inks, with the exception of certain mild solvent based and discharge inks used on a small percentage of printers.
Freedom
This allows us to print logos, images and photographs directly to the surface of your selected garment without using transfers, the downside being as we print directly to the individual fibres of your coloured garment the print may not always appear as a solid print, but still achive stunning results.
Over the years we have a build up of tshirts that have marks or slight defects on them, which we can not personalise and send out as a gift, so this week we have donated hundreds of slight seconds to our chairty shop, Glen (Manager) was pleased to receive them and said they would sell well and will be back for more!!
So we are now saving them again, ready to give again next year.

Today our new website was launched! A fantastic site based around the old site, but with a more advanced ‘design on line’ facility and an exciting new range of products! Not only do we print t-shirts, but we also now print personalised hoodies, baseball t shirts and to add a twist to the site we now engrave! Yes we have an exciting range of engraved gifts, including pens, cufflinks and compact mirrors. Engraving can be photographs or text – wow!
Our personalised wine is also now available, we stock red wine, and white wine, and from customer feedback we know that these are just what you want!
